Independent study is a vital part of college life, and we’re proud to offer dedicated facilities and resources to give you the skills and tools for your future work or educational aspirations.

The College Merthyr Tydfil Library offers open access study space to students between 8.30am and 6pm. (We are open during the holidays on a self-service basis only.)

We offer a silent space to study, with tables, individual study spaces, laptops, and WiFi. There are facilities for printing, photocopying, scanning, and we sell stationery.

The Library contains around 16,000 up-to-date resources to support all taught courses, including:

  • Textbooks, revision guides, magazines, reference books, fiction, and DVDs.
  • High quality e-resources including e-books and online databases that you can access in college and from home.
Dedicated library staff are always happy to help students find the information that they need.
