Employability

E2 (Enterprise & Employability Bureau) offers tailored support with employability, careers, enterprise and progression.

They run workshops, drop-ins, events, and share job opportunities, career advice and guest sessions across Wales and the UK.

Visit the E2 Hub (1st floor, near Open Access) for help with:

  • CVs, cover letters, applications & interview skills
  • Presentation skills & career advice
  • Work placements & apprenticeships
  • Starting a business

E2 also develops enterprise skills through competitions, workshops, and networking—helping students build creativity, problem-solving and industry connections.

Enterprise

Want to start your own business? We can help!

Enterprise or enterprising activity is what we look for in budding entrepreneurs.  If you have always dreamt of being your own boss, this is the place to start!

Our mission in the Enterprise department is to discover entrepreneurial talent in the college, finding and nurturing bright young entrepreneurs of any age and level. Enterprise and entrepreneurship are embedded into our approach to teaching at TCMT. Evidence shows that students who are encouraged to use initiative and think in enterprising ways are more employable when they leave college. We regularly support students to develop ideas into viable business plans. Whether for one-to-one business mentorship or simply for an informal chat about a business concept, we are always on hand to offer advice and practical tools to grow your dream into reality.

If you would like help with your business idea get in touch today! Email ljames@mertyr.ac.uk/ or pop into reception and ask for us!
